How we do it

At Premier Mobile Detailing VA, we take ceramic coating seriously. Our application process is designed to maximize protection, shine, and durability — whether you choose our System X Pro (up to 6 years protection) or our System X Max G+ (lifetime protection).
Here’s how we do it:
1. Thorough Wash & Decontamination
We begin with a complete hand wash using pH-neutral soap to safely remove dirt, grime, and road film. Then we apply an iron remover to eliminate invisible contaminants like brake dust and industrial fallout.
Next, we use a clay bar or clay towel to smooth out the paint surface and remove any bonded contamination. This leaves a clean slate for polishing and coating.
2. Paint Correction (Polishing)
Ceramic coatings lock in whatever is underneath — including swirls, scratches, or haze. That’s why we machine polish every vehicle before applying the coating.
We assess the paint and perform the proper level of correction to remove imperfections and restore gloss. This step makes your paint look like new again — and makes the coating last longer.
3. Surface Prep
After polishing, we wipe down every panel with an isopropyl alcohol (IPA) solution to remove any leftover polishing oils. This ensures the ceramic coating bonds perfectly to the paint with no interference.
4. Coating Application
Once the surface is flawless and clean, we apply the ceramic coating by hand using a suede applicator and block.
- We work panel by panel in a controlled pattern.
- The coating is allowed to bond and “flash,” then gently leveled with premium microfiber towels to remove any excess or high spots.
- For our Max G+ coating, the formula is ultra-thick — offering unmatched durability and a deep, glassy finish in just one layer.
5. Curing & Aftercare
After application, your vehicle needs time to cure. We recommend:
- No water or moisture on the vehicle for 24–48 hours.
- No washing the vehicle for 7 days.
- Light maintenance with ceramic-safe soaps and towels going forward.
We’ll also give you personalized aftercare instructions and product recommendations to keep your coating performing at its best.
